The ambalakadav kudumbam was the first christian settlers in Kurichy and now consists of 300 families.
H.G. Dr. Stephanos Mar Theodosius Metropolitan is the present president of the kudumbayogam.
Among the four priests in the kudumbam, two of them serves as vice-presidents.
On 7/5/06 it celebrated its 54th annual meet chaired by the president H.G Dr. Stephanos Mar Theodosius.
Rev.Dr. Jacob kurien, vice-principal, orthodox theological seminary inagurated the function. Dr. C J Roy, former professor, madurai kamaraj university (member of the pakalomattam mahakudumbayogam) deliverd the key-note address.
